Thumb clamp attachment
Intro — A thumb clamp turns an excavator bucket into a grapple, for demolition, forestry, rail work and material handling.
Manufacturing — Cylinder and thumb body are assembled and tested in-house for clamping force and pressure holding. Hinge pins are quenched and tempered allow steel with lubrication passages, and the mounting bracket is made to your bucket width and profile. Interference and envelope angle against your existing bucket are verified in 3D before manufacture.
On site — Picking up rock, stumps or scrap rebar: nobody has to climb out of the cab to steady the load.
